LaVerne Darr, 73, Harrisonville, Missouri died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Peculiar, Missouri. Burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, Missouri. LaVerne was born August 12, 1938 in Plad, MO, the daughter of Frank and Ernestine (Gowin) Adams. She grew up in the Plad, MO area and was a graduate of Windyville, Missouri High School. LaVerne moved to Kansas City, MO after graduating from high school and moved to Peculiar, MO in 1977. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peculiar.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her father, Frank Adams and one sister, Brenda Bell. She is survived by two sons, Doug Moses, Gunn City, MO and David Moses and his wife, Dawn, Peculiar, MO; her mother, Ernestine Adams, Buffalo, MO; two stepsons, Michael Darr, Independence, MO and Bill Darr, Butler, MO; a stepdaughter, Janine Ninecamp, Independence, MO; two sisters, Patricia Medley, Lebanon, MO and Willa Thorp, Independence, MO; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
