Larry Wayne Kunkelman, 78, Adrian, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  A memorial gathering was held  Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian.  Contributions may be made to House of Hound in Butler, MO.

Larry was born October 5, 1939 in Allen County, Kansas, the son of Oscar Floyd and Blanche (Ellis) Kunkelman.  In 1958, he married Barbara Thorton of Iola, KS.  To this union were born four children, Floyd, Keith, Kevin, and Lynn.   In 1973, he married Bonnie Scott of Adrian, MO.  To this union they added Jason and Amy.  Larry worked as a bookkeeper for the Kansas City Star Advertising Department for 40 years before retiring in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Beverly Jean, and one grandson, Joshua Adam.  He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; six children, Jason Kunkelman, Adrian, Floyd Kunkelman, Little Rock, AR, Keith Kunkelman (Jeanne), Adrian, Kevin Kunkelman (Debbie), Independence, MO, Amy Kunkelman, Orlando, FL, and Lynn Elsloo (Randy), Blue Springs, MO; 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
