Obituary

Larry Francis Eason, 76, Drexel, Missouri died Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill, Missouri after a battle with COPD and heart disease.
A masonic service, under the auspices of the Grand River Masonic Lodge #276, and the funeral service was held Monday, November 19, 2018  at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.  Burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.

Larry was born in El Dorado Springs, MO on September 28, 1942, one of eight children of Francis and Myrtle (Lee) Eason.  Larry grew up in El Dorado Springs and was a 1960 graduate of El Dorado Springs High School.   On May 26, 1961, Larry married Gwendolyn Beisley in Kansas City, MO.  They celebrated 57 years of marriage this year.

Larry was a press operator for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City for 46 years before his retirement in 2007.  They lived in Kansas City, Missouri until 1972 when they moved to a small farm in Freeman, Missouri.

Larry was a member of Grand River Masonic Lodge No. #276 in Freeman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening until bad health prevented that.  He especially enjoyed time with his granddaughters.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Burl and Corene Beisley; his brother-in-law, Herbert Beisley; his brothers, W.D. Eason, Wendell Eason and Gary Eason; one sister, Shirley Fairchild and her husband, Claude.  He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; 3 sons, Rick (Joyce) Eason, Belton, MO, Randy (Julie) Eason, Harrisonville, MO, and Ronnie (Jodi) Eason, Oak Grove, MO;  two brothers, Roger (Joy) Eason, Harwood, MO and Loren (Sue) Eason, Sheldon, MO; one sister, Brenda Widner, Springfield, MO; sisters-in-law, Judy Eason, El Dorado Springs, and  Gail Eason, Hume, MO; seven granddaughters, Rikki (Eric) Rouse, Danielle (Justin) Wenger, Taylor (Matt) Eason, Rachel (Chris) Turner, Brooke, Emily and Autumn Eason; and four great-grandchildren, Lexi, Carlynn, Ellie and Millie. Numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kindred Hospice or the Pulmonary Rehab Department at Cass Regional Medical Center.
