Larry Wayne Bohannon, 68, Creighton, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 1:00-2:00. Inurnment will be in Urich Cemetery, Urich, Missouri following the service. Larry was born January 5, 1947 in Cass County, Missouri, the son of Orley Nivel and Bobbie Jean (Oberbey) Bohannon. He was a 1964 graduate of Harrisonville High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Larry worked in construction as a concrete finisher. He played baseball in high school and continued his love of baseball by coaching, and later by watching baseball and other sports. He was a hard working man.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Jerry Lee Bohannon and his wife, Elise Bohannon. He is survived by two sons, Shane Bohannon, Kansas City, Missouri and Josh Bohannon (Alex), Creighton, Missouri; two daughters, Andrea Gentry (Jack), Butler, Missouri and Carol Lee Baltz (Darren), Lee's Summit, Missouri; his mother, Bobbie Bohannon, Harrisonville, Missouri; two sisters, Vicki Mitchell (Rick), Harrisonville, Missouri and Kay Wallace, Nevada, Missouri; and six grandchildren, Michael, Ethan, Aiden, Jace, Ridlee and Laine.
