Obituary
Lara Luan Beard, 58, Holden, MO, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her home. A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, January 20 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.
Lara was born September 13, 1958 in Olympia, Washington, the daughter of Floyd Nelson and Princilla (Hoepker) Wright. She attended college at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri for three years. She married Edward "Ed" E. Beard on September 7, 1990 in Harrisonville. Lara worked as a substitute teacher. She loved to ride horses and was a dog fanatic, rescuing many.
Lara was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Wright, and one brother, Rick Wright. She is survived by her husband, Ed, of the home; one son, Seth Beard, Holden, MO and his soon-to-be bride, Ricki Wood of Blue Springs, MO; his mother, Princilla Wright, and two brothers, Barry Wright and Robert "Kevin" Wright, all of Peculiar.
