Kitty L. Brewer, 83, of Harrisonville, MO., died Monday, December 12, 2016 at her home in Harrisonville. Graveside service were held December 16, 2016 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Serenity Hospice.

Kitty was born October 5, 1933 in Breckenridge, MO., a daughter of Ray and Hazel (Bowers) Goodman. She was united in marriage to Marion Brewer on November 2, 1951. Kitty had lived in Olathe, KS., Stockton, MO., and Pleasant Hill, MO. before moving to Harrisonville. She loved to work in the garden, cook and bake.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, in 1997; her parents; two brothers, Ed Goodman and Don Goodman; and three sisters, Diane Tucker, Katherine Quinn and Martha Bell Burke.
She is survived by her companion, Dale Hoover, Harrisonville, one son, Ronald L. Brewer of Paola, KS.; one daughter, Pamela L. Brewer of St. Joseph, MO., two brothers, Paul Goodman of Chillicothe, MO., and Jim Goodman of Bella Vista, AR.; two sisters, Virginia and Thelma, along with 5 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
