Obituary

Kevin Ray Stine, 57, of Peculiar, Missouri, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Cornerstone Chapel in Peculiar.

Kevin was born June 7, 1959 in Butler, Missouri, the son of Elwood J. and Mary Lou (VanMeter) Stine. He was a 1977 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School and lived most of his life in Peculiar. Kevin worked as a machine operator for Sioux Chief in Harrisonville for 10 years. Previous to that he worked as a pressman for the Kansas City Star as well as the Dallas Morning News in Plano, Texas.

As an outdoor enthusiast Kevin lived life to the fullest, whether he was hunting for deer, fishing for bass or helping a friend rustle up cattle. He loved music and was a passionate Jimmy Buffet fan.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Stine, of Peculiar, Missouri; one son, Cole Stine, of Grandview, Missouri; one daughter, Whitney Stine, of Raymore, Missouri; two sisters, Leann Woody, of Peculiar, Missouri and Kelley Marlett, Booneville, Missouri; and one grandson, Aiden Coleman.
