Kevin Raymond Nissen, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 74. A memorial visitation was held in honor of Kevin's life at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Born on December 4, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Robert Sr. and Mary Jeane (Long) Nissen, Kevin's journey through life was marked by his unwavering spirit, humor, and love for music. A proud graduate of Grandview High School in Grandview, MO, Kevin dedicated his career to the manufacturing industry, where he worked as a machinist at Vetch Precision, LLC in Stilwell, Kansas. On October 12, 1984, Kevin married the love of his life, Cheryl Perry. His family and friends remember him not only for his exceptional skills but also for his joking nature and warm personality. Kevin was known for his hard work ethic, willingness to lend a helping hand, and, of course, his endearing stubbornness that endeared him to those who loved him.

Music was a vital part of Kevin's life. Whether strumming his guitar or enjoying the sounds of his favorite artists, his passion for music brought joy to so many. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, bringing happiness and comfort through his laughter and lively stories. He was a genuine soul who would go above and beyond for anyone in need.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his step-daughter, Krista Miller; his brother, Robert Nissen, Jr; his sister, Carolyn "Lyn" Howell; nieces: Julie (Jeff) Marks and Jennie (Kevin) Strathman; his nephew, Chris (Jamie) Howell; three beloved grandchildren who brought him immense joy; and many extended family and friends.
