IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Damond
Stearns
June 26, 1967 – November 15, 2022
Kenneth Damond Stearns, 55, of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Research Medical Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.
Kenneth was born June 26, 1967 in Downey, CA, the son of Kenneth Stearns and Linet Hinard, but found his true home with Larry and Jeanie Arnote in Harrisonville, MO. Kenneth attended Harrisonville HS where he met the love of his life. Donna and Kenneth met in speech class based on their last names; Banker and Arnote. Donna was crying during class and Kenneth asked why she was so upset, which Donna explained that she had just dissected a frog and was not taking it well. Kenneth then took this opportunity to make "ribbit" noises the remainder of the class to poke fun at Donna, and from that moment on, they were the best of friends.
Kenneth spent four years in the US Marine Corps Airborne, completing 135 jumps, played on the rugby team, and then rejoined the Army National Guard during Desert Strom. Kenneth was then stationed in Fort Riley, KS, where he married Donna at the Custerhill Chapel on February 14, 1991. Kenneth was honorably discharged from the Marines and then upon completion of his reserve commitments he went on to be a tradesman. Kenneth's greatest love was arrowhead hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Kenneth also loved spending time with his wife, friends, and grandchildren. Kenneth made it a priority to always being there for his friends and family. Kenneth and Donna, through their crazy and wild life, were always the life of the party. Lastly, due to Kenneth and Donna's love for camping and travel, they made a decision to leave their traditional home and never came back!
Kenneth is preceded in death by bio-father, Kenneth Stearns, and brother, Ty Stearns. He is survived by his mother and father, Larry and Jeanie Arnote; wife, Donna Stearns; son, Mason Stearns; son, Mike Muller; brothers, Justin Stearns & Jason Copeland; sister, Stacy Kelter; 5 grandchildren: Makenzie Muller, Katara Salamanca, Gavin Muller, Jackson Womiche, and Maximus Stearns.
