Kenneth "Wayne" Reece, 81, Harker Heights, TX, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Wayne was born January 18, 1931 in Rosendale, MO, the son of Lloyd A. and Leita L. (Osburn) Reece. He graduated from high school in Mt. Vernon, MO. Wayne married Patricia Louise Walker on January 16, 1953 in Harrisonville. He had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Texas two years ago.

Wayne was a carpenter and had worked for many local contractors. He coached little league and pony league baseball for a number of years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Reece of the home; two daughters, Belinda Hansen and her husband, Jon, Killeen, TX and Deana Reece, Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer Love, Jordan Hansen, Justin Hansen, Josh Hansen and wife, Shannon, Jace Hansen and Jon Michael Hansen; great-grandchildren, Katy Hansen, Zack and Victoria Love and Kayla, Karly and Taiven Hansen.
