Kenneth Ray Poston, 80, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at his home in Butler, MO. Funeral services 10:00 AM Friday, May 9 at Atkinson Chapel, Adrian, MO. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. (No visitation). Contributions to American Cancer Society.

Kenneth was born January 17, 1928 in Kansas City, KS, the son of Ed and Inez (Park) Holt. He grew up in Armourdale, Kansas, attending John Fisk Elementary School, Central Jr. High School and Argentine High School.

Kenneth worked for over 50 years for Rock Island (Southern Pacific) Railroad. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and KU basketball fan. He also enjoyed coaching youth sports.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his wife of 44 years, Doris Jean Poston. He is survived by his son, Kenneth E. Poston and daughter-in-law, Lori Poston, Long Beach, CA; his daughter, Georgia Ann Jones, San Diego, CA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and his good friend, Shirley Smith.
