Kenneth Lynn Morris, 46, Freeman, MO, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services 2:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, with visitation from 12:00-2:00 PM Saturday at the chapel. Burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Contributions may be made to the funeral home.

Kenny was born March 5, 1962 in Kansas City, MO, the son of George D. and Mary E. (Wigham) Morris. He married Norma Ray Prettyman on July 10, 1999 in Independence, MO.

Kenny had worked as a mechanic for many years. He loved spending time with his children and family, Dr. Pepper and watching movies.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Charles Tanner, grandparents, one niece and one great-niece. He is survived by his wife, Norma and one son, Kasper Morris, of the home; one stepson, Conner Shanklin and two stepdaughters, Brittany Shanklin and Shyla Shanklin, all of Cedar Rapids, IA; two brothers, Dale Morris and wife, Diane and Darrell Morris, all of Marshall, MO; two sisters, Chris Freeman, Lee's Summit, MO and Cathleen Bittle and husband, Joe, Independence, MO; mother-in-law, Louella Tanner, Freeman, MO; brothers-in-law, Terry Tanner and wife, Pat, Manhattan, KS, Randy Tanner and wife, Janie, Littleton, CO, Johnie Tanner and wife, Samantha, Elizabeth, CO, Chuck Tanner and wife, Jill, Wamego, KS; sisters-in-law, Sheryl Scholl and husband, Mat and Cindy Mayfield and husband, Tony, Freeman, MO; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew; other relatives and friends.

Kenny's final gift to others was that of being an organ and tissue donor.
