Kenneth Lynn Brashear, 71, Harrisonville, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at K. U. Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.  No services are scheduled at this time.

Kenneth was born January 6, 1950 in Bay City, TX a son of William Sylvester Brashear, Jr. and Rachel (Nash) Hetler. He was a U.S. Air force veteran.  Kenneth married Rita Kingery on December 27, 1970 in Bellevue, NE.  They had lived in Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas before moving to Missouri.

Kenneth worked for NW Transportation in Colorado and for Yellow Freight in Kansas City before retiring in 2010.  He was an active member of Jehovah's Witness.  Kenneth loved working on his '55 Chevy and rebuilding World War I vintage airplanes.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keith Wayne Brashear.  He is survived by his wife, Rita Brashear, of the home; one son, Michael Brashear and his wife, Laura, Ft. Lupton, CO; one daughter, Dawn Scoular and her husband, Shane, Harrisonville, MO; one brother, Kevin Brian Brashear, Dallas, TX; and four grandchildren, Michele Scoular, Colten Brashear, Braidynne Brashear and Aubrey Brashear.
