Kenneth Robert Ball, 63, El Mirage, Arizona, formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri, died Monday, August 5, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri. Contributions may be made to the family.

Kenneth was born September 19, 1949 in Vancouver, Washington, the son of Kenneth Herbert and Jean (Quisenberry) Ball. He married Darlene Ruth Lambert on May 11, 1993.

Kenneth served his country in the U. S. Marine corps for over 18 years, serving two tours in Vietnam, before being diagnosed with MS in 1998. He was a life member of the VFW.

He is survived by his older sister, Sheri Hicks of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Steve Ball of Warren, Oregon and Ray Ball of Portland, Oregon; daughters, Angela Ball of Oregon, Denise Thompson of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Rebecca Peters and her husband, Scott of Buckeye, Arizona; his sons, Bryan Thompson of Omaha, Nebraska and Kenneth Thompson and his wife, Crystal of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
