Kathryn Marie Whited, 77, Kansas City, Missouri, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue River Bible Church, Belton, Missouri.

Kathryn was born October 15, 1935 in Peculiar, Missouri, the daughter of Carl Jesse and Callie Lulu (Hoenshell) Urton. She was born and raised in Peculiar and was a 1954 graduate of Peculiar High School. She married Charles Whited on May 19, 1954 and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where they made their home.

Kathryn had worked for Sears at Bannister Mall for 20 years. She was a member of Blue River Bible Church and various church groups.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; two sons, Tracy Whited, Raymore, Missouri and Terry Whited, Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Theresa Sikorski, Sun City, Arizona and Tonya Dib, New York, New York; one brother, Carl Mitchell Urton, Rich Hill, Missouri; two sisters, Violet Evans, Independence, Missouri and Dorothy Loyd, Peculiar, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
