Kathryn JoAnn Coleman, 71 of Freeman, MO, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 1:00-2:00 at the chapel. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Kansas City Office, 10580 Barkley, Suite 400, Overland Park, KS 66212.

Kathryn was born June 6, 1938 in Tiffany Springs, MO, the daughter of Gilbert Lincoln and "Lettie" Leta Belle (Grafton) Baldwin. She grew up in Kansas City, MO. Kathryn married Charles Coleman on October 6, 1956 in Tiffany Springs. They resided in Kansas City, KS until moving to Peculiar, MO in 1973, Camdenton, MO in 1993 and to Freeman in 2006.

Kathryn was the former owner of Garden Gate Floral, from 1981-2000. She had previously worked for the Gas Service Company and Safeway in their clerical offices.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; one daughter, Kathryn Ann Cantrell and her husband, Robert, of Freeman, MO; two brothers, Gilbert Wayne Baldwin and Floyd A. Baldwin and his wife, Jerea, all of Kansas City, MO and one granddaughter, Scharlie Anne Cantrell of Freeman, MO.
