Kay Ann Chapman, 65, of Harrisonville, MO died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her home. A memorial service will be held in in Beloit, KS at a later date. Cremation. Kay was born August 31, 1944 in Emporia, KS the daughter of William Henry and Dorothy L. (Krobst) Kern. She was a 1962 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Emporia, KS. She attended Emporia State University. In 1964 she began working for the First National Bank in Kansas City, MO. There she met Tom Chapman. They were married on September 30, 1966.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Kern. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of the home; three siblings, Philip Kern of Fairfield, IA, David Kern of Harrisonville, MO and Jane Sixbey of Des Moines, IA; three nephews, Jason, William and Todd and nine nieces, Jill, Julie, Josie, Rosalind, Tuesday, Teresa, Tammy, Christie and Dorothy.
