Karen Kay King, 75, of Adrian, MO, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Medicalodge of Butler surrounded by her family. A Memorial Visitation was held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Croix Hospice.

Karen was born August 26, 1948 to Clifford and Pearl (Brown) Isham in Stilwell, OK. She married Glenn King on April 7, 1978 in Belton, MO. Karen was a homemaker and she stayed busy with her children. They were her world. She loved a clean house and she made sure it stayed that way. Karen was also very good in the kitchen and is remembered for many tasty dishes. Glenn often bragged about her pie crust. She still managed to find time for her favorite tv shows, as well as reading and doing crossword puzzles. When the Chiefs were playing, she made sure she tuned in and would often be on the phone to her sister to talk about the game. Karen loved her family dearly and will be missed by those close to her.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn King; son-in-law, Rodger Cecil; grandson, Eric King; a brother and a sister. She is survived by her son, Raymond (Gayle) King, of Roseau, MN; her daughter, Brenda Cecil, of Butler, MO; her son, Doug (Meghann) King, of Archie, MO; grandchildren: Amanda King (Nathan Hanson), Julie Ripplinger (Travis), Emma King, and Ethan King; great-grandchildren: Sophie, Edie, Brady, and Layla; brother, Harry Isham; sisters: Carolyn Barker and Betty Isham; and several nieces and nephews.
