Karen Burgin, 72, Harrisonville, MO, died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville.  Graveside services were held Monday, January 14, 2019 at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville.

Karen was born September 23, 1946 in Bloomfield, KY, a daughter of James Mitchell and Juanita Amos.  She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and attended Watterson College in Louisville, KY.  She had lived in Frankfort, KY before moving to Harrisonville 19 years ago.  Karen had worked as a bookkeeper for a medical office while living in Kentucky.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Sharon Hahn, and one grandson, James "J. T." Sutton.  She is survived by one son, James Burgin (Becky), Claremore, OK; one daughter, Debra Dalton (Mike), Peculiar, MO; two sisters, Barbara Campbell, Lexington, KY and Pamela Vickers, Tampa, FL; 3 grandchildren, Steven Kyle Sutton (Crystal), Lee's Summit, MO, Tara Hargis (Jordan), Harrisonville, and Christopher Burgin (Becca), Pryor, OK.
