Junior Shipley, 91, of Archie, Missouri, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at his home in Archie.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri. The family will receive friends
Monday, October 24 6:00-8:00pm at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, Missouri. Contributions may be made to the Grace Hospice.

Junior was born January 2, 1920 in Vale, South Dakota, a son of Oran Homer and Martha M. (Plattner) Shipley. He moved to Cass County when he was seven and lived on the family farm in Amarugia before moving to his present home in 1950. He was united in marriage to Zona L. Goddard on June 26, 1941. He was a full-time farmer and a part-time carpenter.

Junior was preceded in death by his wife, Zona, on June 17, 1991, his parents, a brother and six sisters. He is survived by two sons, James (Jim) O. Shipley, and David L. Shipley, both of Archie; two brothers, Don Shipley, Archie, and Lester Shipley, Lee's Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
