Julie Attaoui, 63, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at St. Luke's East in Lee's Summit, MO. Graveside services were held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO.

Julie was born May 29, 1960 in Harrisonville, MO, a daughter of Charles Ewing and Margie L. (Tarwater) Reece. She was a 1978 graduate of Harrisonville High School and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. For a short time, she taught school for the Kansas City Magnet Schools before moving to the Orlando, Florida in 1983. Julie taught elementary school for the Orange County, Florida school district until her retirement in 2023.

Julie married Mehdi Attaoui May 20, 1985. Julie was a member of the Harrisonville First Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. Her many hobbies and interests included crafts and scrapbooking.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles. Julie is survived by her mother, Margie Reece, of Harrisonville; her brother, Charles Reece, and his wife, Linda, of Harrisonville; her husband, Mehdi Attaoui; her niece, Megan (Eric) Bautista; her nephew, Ethan (Hannah) Reece; and her great-nephews: Heyden, Dominic and Bryson Bautista.
