Judith Jeanne Welch, 58, Harrisonville, MO, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Contributions may be made to the Harrisonville Animal Shelter.

Judith was born June 11, 1948 in Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of James Van and Olive Lorraine (Pierce) Allen. She was a lifelong Harrisonville resident and was a 1966 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She was a 1968 graduate of Cottey College in Nevada. Judith has worked as a legal assistant for Crouch, Spangler & Douglas law office for the past 20 years.

Judith enjoyed reading, gardening and was always designing her dream home. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and was formerly the church organist.

Judith was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by one son, Charles Boothe Welch, Ottawa, KS; two daughters, Anne East and her husband, Gary, Harrisonville, MO and Sara Poe and her husband, Gregory, Champaign, IL her mother, Sally Allen, Harrisonville, MO and four grandchildren, Nicholas Poe, Eric Poe, Samuel East and Libby East.
