Judith "Judy" Frances (Lineberry) Manthei, age 81, passed away Friday March 8, 2019 in Freeman, Missouri.  A Celebration of Life service was held Sunday, March 17, 2019 at St. Peter's and All Saints Episcopal Church, Kansas City, MO 64114.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HELP Humane, 17122 Bel-Ray Place, Belton, MO 64012 or to St Peter's and All Saints Episcopal Church.

Judy was born May 26, 1937 in Gladstone, MO to Marvin and Grace (Pollock) Lineberry.  She was a 1955 graduate of North Kansas City High School and received her LPN from Providence St. Margaret's Hospital, School of Nursing in Kansas City, KS.  Judy married Samuel David Manthei, Sr. on June 8 ^th , 1957 in Gladstone MO.  Together they had two children, Rhonda Manthei and Samuel Manthei, Jr.  They were married for 52 years.

Judy was a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in hospitals and nursing homes in the Kansas City area.  Judy and Sam raised their family in Kansas City North, before retiring to Cassville, MO in 1993.  After Sam's death, Judy moved to Freeman.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards with her grandchildren, and relaxing at Table Rock Lake.

Judy was preceded by her parents, a daughter, Rhonda L. Manthei, three sisters, Charlene Coakley, Helen Ferguson, Bernice Lineberry, two brothers, Clifford Lineberry and M.G. Lineberry, and her husband, Sam, in August, 2009.  She is survived by her son, Samuel David Manthei, Jr. (Linda), Freeman, MO; one brother, Paul Lineberry, of Texas;  4 grandchildren, Mary Ann Mast, Staci ( Chris) Czar, Adam (Nydia) Manthei, and Josh (Brooke) Manthei; 8 great-grandchildren, Joey, Janie, Abbie, Emma, Marcus, Leo, Nash, and Memphis.

Judy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
