Judith Ann "Judy" Sanderson, 70, Peculiar, MO, died Friday, September 15, 2017 at Redwood of Raymore, Raymore, MO. Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 19 at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, MO. Judy was born March 14, 1947 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Joseph Harry and Bernice Agatha (Sanders) Sterling. Her aunt and uncle, Louise and Perry Sanders, were very good to her after the death of her parents. She was a 1965 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. She was a lifelong resident of Peculiar and Freeman, MO.
Judy retired from Bendix/Honeywell where she worked in Quality Control. She then worked for Sioux Chief in Peculiar. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peculiar. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and buying and selling antiques. She also enjoyed watching her son-in-law show his Arabian horses. She also liked to fish.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, JoAnn Branic. She is survived by her daughter, Robyn Bennett and her husband, Raymond, Peculiar, MO; and one granddaughter, Daily Bennett. Her special friends are Dena Losasso, Alice Bray, Michelle Stine, Mary Pat Beck, Rosemary Freeman, and Shawn Ismert. She is also survived by the Bennett family, David, John and Kim, Bob and Judy, Keith and Sheryl, Sherri and Brian, Terri and Tom; the Sterling family and Sanders family.
