Judith "Judy" (Grammy) Ann Cotton, 75, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family.
Judy was born January 23, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Ben A. and Mildred Mae (Mitchell) Warren. She grew up in Lee's Summit, Missouri and moved to Pleasant Hill, Missouri her junior year. She was a 1955 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. Judy married John "Jack" Cotton on November 6, 1955 at Camden Point, Missouri.
Judy worked for Family Center for 13 years as a receiving clerk. She was a member of Antioch Southern Baptist Church in Harrisonville. She helped with the local Rainbow Girls, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She also helped coach Little League soccer and football.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jack, Harrisonville, Missouri; one son, Jody Cotton and his wife, Diana, Harrisonville; two daughters, Jacquelyn A. Forman, Kansas City, Missouri and Johnna Culpepper and her husband, Dennis, Harrisonville; 7 grandchildren, Melissa Kennedy, Justin Culpepper, Jodie Perretti, Michael Culpepper, Chad Culpepper, Tyler Forman and Shawn Cotton and 5 great-grandchildren.
