Juanita L. Rathjen, 80, Garden City, MO, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, MO.  Funeral services were held Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.   Burial  in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, MO.

Juanita was born July 24, 1938 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Ralph and Ida Belle (Case) Langkop.  She married Donald Dean Rathjen on March 9, 1957 in Kansas City, MO.  Juanita was a 1956 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and had lived in Shawnee Mission, KS.  She later moved to Raymore, MO where she lived until moving to Garden City in 1965.  Juanita was a personal secretary to the commanding officer at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base before retiring in 1974.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ralph Langkop, and her husband, Don on January 28, 2006.  She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Gaylene Small and her husband, Hans, Pleasant Hill, MO and Ann Good, Lee's Summit, MO, and a nephew, Jon Small, Pleasant Hill, MO.
