Juanita May Buckbee, 88, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Inurnment will be held in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 14310 East 42nd Street South, Unit 600, Market Place Shopping Center, Independence, MO 64055.

Juanita was born September 5, 1928 in Bogard, Missouri, the daughter of Ira Charles and Nadine (Agee) Shirley. She grew up in Bogard and Carrollton, Missouri. She married John "Buck" Light Buckbee on May 31, 1950. The moved to Harrisonville in 1953. Juanita had worked as a cashier at Allen Bank in Harrisonville and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John on February 1, 1994, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Nicolette A. Frock and her husband, Greg, Raymore, Missouri; four sisters, Phyllis Clift, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Charldine Safley, Carrollton, Missouri, Pat Maycock, Waverly, Missouri, and Barbara Littrell and husband, Bob, Brunswick, Missouri, and one granddaughter, Erica Frock, Raymore.
