Joyce Darlene Francy, 79, Pleasant Hill, MO, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Joyce was born July 22, 1938 in Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of Archie L. and Martha Jane (Napton) Schmoll. She attended Germantown #43 Rural School, north of East Lynne, MO, and was a 1956 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Joyce received an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Lindenwood College in 1988.

Joyce married Freddie Francy on October 23, 1959 in Independence, MO. They had lived in Pleasant Hill, MO before moving to St. Peters, MO in 1979, moving back to Pleasant Hill in 1995. She loved any kind of crafts and painting, flowers and gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Joyce had worked as an accountant for Missouri Gas Energy before retiring.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Freddie, of the home; one daughter, Marcia Byers and her husband, Richard, O'Fallon, MO; one brother, Max Schmoll and his wife, Gayle, Pleasant Hill, MO; 2 grandchildren, Jason Byers (Meghan) and Justin Byers (Brittany); 2 great-granddaughters, Alana Byers and Madison Prine, and several nieces and nephews.
