Joyce N. (Farr) Hart, 90, of Harrisonville, MO, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Visitation was held at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville on November 4, 2024. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.

Joyce was born on July 22, 1934, in West Line, Missouri, the daughter of Herbert and Anna (Laffoon) Richardson. Throughout her life, Joyce exhibited remarkable strength and dedication, traits that were evident in both her professional and personal endeavors. She served as the bookkeeper and office manager at Farr Construction, where she dedicated her career to the success of the company. Her contributions were invaluable, and her work ethic was admired by all who knew her.

Joyce married Donald Farr on April 10, 1953 and to this union they had two sons: Vince and Robin. Donald passed on September 1, 1999, and Joyce later found happiness again in her marriage to Johnny Hart, they had made their home in Dickinson, Texas, for the last 10 years, before ultimately moving back to Harrisonville, MO.

Joyce's passion for sports was highlighted by her time playing basketball for Freeman, where her team achieved an impressive undefeated season in 1952. In addition to her athletic achievements, Joyce was a devoted member of the Freeman Presbyterian Church and the Old Hen's Club in Freeman, MO, where she formed lasting friendships and cherished memories. Joyce will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith, kind heart, and unwavering spirit.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald Farr; her son, Robin Farr; four brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Hart, of Dickinson, TX; her son, Vince (Rebecca) Farr, of Harrisonville, MO; daughter-in-law, Tammie Farr, of Harrisonville, MO; 8 grandchildren: Jeremy (Alison) Farr, Eric (Kaitlin) Farr, Sydney Farr, Glen Hachenberg, Samantha Porter Farr, Domnik, Kayne, and Brea; 9 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Lucia, Preston, Colson, Aiden, Morgan, Alex, Porter, and Malani; and many friends and extended family members.
