Joshua Curtis Miller, 29, Creighton, MO, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at K. U. Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw, MO. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at the chapel. Josh was born January 15, 1980 in Sedalia, MO, the son of Rex and Deana (Rhoads) Miller. He was a 1998 graduate of Sherwood High School. He attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Josh worked for Benton County and Henry County as a police officer for five years.

Josh enjoyed hunting and spending time with his kids. He loved to talk and always knew he was right! Josh was a loving and much loved father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. He considered his friends as family.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Rhoads and grandfather, Keith Miller. Josh is survived by two daughters, McKyla Lynn Miller and Madalynn Faith Miller; his parents, Rex Miller and Deana Miller; one brother, Travis Lee Miller; one sister, Lyndsey Ashton Miller; his grandparents, Ben and Geneva Friend, Don and Nancy Rhoads; his children's mother, Amy Johnson; stepsons, Maston and Tristan; nieces, Emery and Marylynn; nephews, Christopher and Hunter; their mothers, Cindy Schmidt and Bridget Atkin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. Josh will be truly missed by all.
