Josefine Mayes, 80, Harrisonville, MO, died October 24, 2010 at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 2:00-3:00.


Josefine was born in Austria. She moved to Raytown, MO in 1967 and to Harrisonville in 1986. She married Russell "Rex" Mayes on May 24, 1953.


Josefine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rex on September 24, 1999. She is survived by one son, Tim Mayes, Raytown, MO; one daughter, Linda Unrein, Lee's Summit, MO; three grandchildren, Taylor, Jason and Samantha and two great-grandchildren.
