John M. Walton, 58, Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

John was born October 15, 1948 in Tulsa, OK, the son of John and Nadine (Nance) Walton. He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton, MO High School. He married Brenda Hunt of Clinton on June 6, 1966. He moved to Harrisonville in 1967. He owned Poppa's Pizza in Odessa and Lamar in MO and Desoto and Eudora in KS. He later worked with his parents at "The Freeze" drive-in in Harrisonville. John was a member of the Pipe fitter's Union. He was a real estate broker and owned his own agency from 1970-1975. He had worked for Pearson Investments. John was an antique dealer. He was a member of Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall. John was a family man of great faith with much love for his God, his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Brenda, of the home and one daughter, Sarah Newkirk and husband, Rod, Garden City, MO and one son, David Walton and Hannah Runyon, Harrisonville; four grandchildren, Zachary Salter, Krista Newkirk, Noah Newkirk and Brock Walton; his parents, John and Nadine Walton, Harrisonville; three brothers, Gary Walton, Harrisonville, MO, Doug Walton, Garden City, MO and Jeff Walton, Butler, MO and one sister, Lynn Moore, Oklahoma City, OK.
