John Robert Baldwin, 68, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 11 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Visitation 7:00-8:30 PM Friday at the chapel. Burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. John was born December 27, 1939 in Chetopa, KS. He married Patricia May Anders on December 27, 1987 in Harrisonville, MO. He had lived in Peculiar and Pleasant Hill, MO before moving to Harrisonville 22 years ago.

John was a member of the United Methodist Church in Peculiar, MO and also was a member of various game clubs. He was an on the farm butcher.

John is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; three daughters, Debbie Meyer and her husband, Keith, Warrensburg, MO, Terri Richey and her husband, Mike, Buckner, MO and Shelly Blackston and her husband, Ronnie, Columbus, KS; one son, Charlie Baldwin and his wife, Julie, Garden City, MO; his mother, Thelma Craney, Chickapee, KS; three stepsons, Brian Wise, Raytown, MO, Michael Wise and his wife, Amy, Olathe, KS and Curtis Wise and his wife, Beth, Harrisonville, MO; two brothers, Gary Kratz, Pittsburg, KS and Eddie Kratz and his wife, Connie, Cherokee, KS; one sister, Kathleen Hall and her husband, Randy, Cherokee, KS; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
