John F. Allin, 80, Drexel, Missouri, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

John was born December 9, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Diibon) Allin. He attended DeLaSalle High School in Kansas City. John was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed in Germany. He had lived in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Drexel in 1979. John worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years as a carman before retiring in 1994. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one son, Kevin Allin (Lisa), Drexel, MO; two grandchildren, John and Jocee Allin; two brothers, George Allin (Mary), Wichita, Kansas and Jim Allin, Lee's Summit, Missouri; three sisters, Dorothy Lee, Cleveland, Missouri; Catherine Wessing, Drexel, Missouri and Jean Davidson (Fred), Springfield, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
