Obituary
JoAnn Cozzetta Bliton, 84, Peculiar, MO, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at the G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home in Indianapolis, Indiana.
JoAnn was born February 9, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Glenn and Marjorie I. (Schanck) Nicholson. She married Wilber L. Briton on June 4, 1949 in Madison, IN. JoAnn worked for Western Electric in Lee's Summit, MO for 22 ½ years before retiring in 1982. She was a former member of the Cleveland Chapter #436, Order of Eastern Star, Harrisonville, MO, a lifetime member of the Eagle Lodge #4146 in Raymore, MO, lifetime member of VFW Post 4151, Peculiar, MO and a member of the National Horseshoe Pitching Association.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilber and one son, Michael S. Bliton. She is survived by one son, Daniel Bliton, Peculiar, MO; one granddaughter, Tammy Bradhurst and one great-granddaughter.
