Joan McLaughlin, 71, Peculiar, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at her home. Memorial services were held Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Joan was born September 14, 1944 in Glasglow, Scotland, the daughter of John and Andrewina (Nevin) Campbell. She married Joseph L. McLaughlin on October 13, 1963 in Scotland. She had lived in the United States for 50 years, living in the Waldo District in Kansas City, Missouri, before moving to Peculiar, where she has lived for the past 27 years.
Joan is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home; four daughters, Rhonda McLaughlin, Raytown, Missouri, Joanne McLaughlin, Kansas City, Missouri, Pam Gisler, Kansas City, Missouri, and Tricia Moffett, Raymore, Missouri; one brother, Eddie Campbell of Scotland; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
