Jo Ann Ferguson, age 82, of Adrian, MO, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at her home. No services are scheduled.
Jo Ann was born June 9, 1929, in Oxnard, California, the daughter of Ralph and Anna Margaret (Fenton) Lotspeich. Most of her youth and young adult life was spent in Missouri. She taught school in several one room school houses until they were consolidated. She then taught in Adrian, MO RIII. She was married to Jim Ferguson and had two sons: James Stanley and William Fenton Ferguson.
In 1964 she headed west, finally settling in Kingman, AZ, which she called home. While in Kingman, she married again to Vernon Statler and together they ran Walnut Creek Ranch. She then turned to a career in nursing and spent 18 years nursing at Kingman Regional Medical Center. Her greatest joy was the adventure of life, always on a road trip, or camping in the state parks and national parks of the west.
She is survived by her two sons, Jim Ferguson and his wife, Diane, of Adrian, MO and Fenton Ferguson of Lathrop, MO; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
