Obituary

Jimmie Lee Perry, 90, Cleveland, MO, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  Funeral services were held Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.  Burial  in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.

Jimmie was born November 25, 1931 in Cedar Vale, KS, a son of Elmer J. and Lillie Irene (Kennedy) Perry.  Jimmie was a 1949 graduate of Bolivar, Missouri High School. He married Nora Lee Hagerman on September 9, 1951.  He had lived in Polk County, MO and Kansas City, MO before moving to Cleveland in 1974.

Jimmie had worked for Growth Industries in Grandview, MO for 20 years as a machinist.  He was a member of Red Bridge Baptist Church in South Kansas City.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dean; and one son, Ed Perry, in 2009.  He is survived by one son, David G. Perry (Kimberly), Harrisonville, MO; one daughter, Cheryl G. Nissen (Kevin), Belton, MO; one granddaughter, Krista Miller (Michael Zumwalt); and three great-grandchildren: Dawsen, Peyten, and Paxten.
