Jessica E. Friend, 32, of Urich, Missouri, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:00am Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Monday, August 29 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Jessica was born May 19, 1984 in Independence, MO, a daughter of David M. and Susan E. (Schroeder) Smith. She lived in Peculiar, MO and was a 2003 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School.
She was united in marriage to William Friend on June 12, 2015 in Clinton, MO. Jessica worked in the food preparation department at the Quick Trip Distribution Center in Belton, MO.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Will, and two children, Madelyn and Kayson. Her parents, David and Susan Smith, Peculiar, MO; a brother, Leo Smith, Dallas, TX, and a sister, Monica Matheny, Strafford, MO.
