Jennifer Joy (Yoder) Wade, 60, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri, left this earth for heaven on Monday, November 2, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Church on the Rock in Harrisonville. Visitation to follow. Contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice House.

Jennifer was born August 1, 1955, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of L. Maurice and Margaret J. (Unnewehr) Yoder. She graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1974. In 1988, she became an independent mail hauler for the United States Post Office and was a member of the National Star Route Mail Contractors Association. On July 2, 1999, she married Paul Wade of Kansas City, Missouri and took up residence there.

In Jennifer's early years, she attended Archie Christian Church accepting Jesus as her Savior. She was very active in youth group and church camps. Later she became a member of Harrisonville Church on the Rock, participating in a ministry trip to Portugal.

Jennifer enjoyed traveling and camping with family and friends, especially her best friend, Rose. She was passionate about cooking and shared that passion with others. She also loved to dance.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Robert (Shorty) Hedrick. She is survived by her husband, Paul Wade, Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Patty Hedrick, Fair Grove, Missouri and Sandi Larsen (Larry), one brother, Frank Yoder, all of Harrisonville, Missouri; one step-brother, Ron Hedrick (Chris), Amoret, Missouri; step-sister, Kay Pope (Nim), Archie, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Jennifer was a fun, life-living person who never met a stranger. She was loved by all of her family and her post office co-workers.
