Jeneen Joyce Jones, 76, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Orient Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Truman Foundation Scholarship.

Jeneen was born March 28, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Lloyd and Marjorie (Johnson) Ziebarth. She was a 1958 graduate of Robbinsdale High School in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. She married Charles "Chuck" A. Jones, Jr. on March 17, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a 1962 graduate of the University of Minnesota and received her master's degree from Webster University in 1988. She was an elementary teacher for Harrisonville Cass R-IX Schools for 23 years before retiring in 2000.

Jeneen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville. She had also been a member of various community organizations, Chaldeans, National Honor Society, MSTA Teacher's Association, ASTA Travel Organization. Jeneen and Chuck traveled to many countries and she always brought a coin back for each of her students from each trip.

Jeneen is survived by her husband, Chuck, of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Jones (Connie Walker), Little Rock, Arkansas and Jonathon Jones (Jill) Batavia, Illinois; two daughters, Julie Zaring (Mike), Harrisonville, and Janna Smith, St. Peter's, Missouri; two sisters, Sheryl Wold (Winton), Wayzata, Minnesota and DeeDee Moerer (Darrel), Wheaton, Minnesota, and 9 grandchildren.
