Jeffrey Michael Whalen, 28, Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at his home. Services 11:00 AM Friday, January 11 at the Harrisonville First Baptist Church. Burial in Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville. Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Contributions may be made to Atkinson Chapel.
Jeffrey was born May 29, 1979 in Independence, MO, the son of Joel Patrick Michael and Karen Sue (Sax) Whalen. He grew up in the Independence, MO area.
Jeffrey enjoyed music, movies, card games, video games and basketball. He loved spending time with his children. Jeffrey was attending the Pinnacle Career Institute of Kansas City, MO.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Karen Whalen, Harrisonville, MO; one son, Joseph Patrick Whalen and one daughter, Ashley Kay Whalen, both of Bonner Springs, KS and one brother, Michael J. Whalen and his wife, Della, St. Louis, MO.
