Jeffrey Jay Harper, 57, Raymore, MO, died Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his home.  No services are scheduled at this time.

Jeff was born August 1, 1961 in Olathe, KS, son of Don G. and Sheryl (Garten) Harper.  He was a 1980 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. He worked for Clarence M. Kelly & Associates as a private investigator and Operations Manager.  Previously, he served as the Chief of Police in Peculiar, MO.  Jeff was a lifelong resident of Peculiar and Raymore, MO.  He was a member of the Grand River Masonic Lodge No. 276, Freeman, MO.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Don and Sheryl Harper, Ft. Scott, KS; one step-son, Zach Humphrey (Katherine), Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Don Harper, Jr. (Julie), Hutchinson, KS, and Tim Harper (Janet), Ft. Scott, KS; two sisters, Jonalin Witt (Larry), Raymore, MO, and Sherri Catron, Harrisonville, MO, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by one brother, John Philip Harper, on May 26, 2018.
