Jean Durbin, 90, Harrisonville, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, MO. Rosary and private family Mass will be held Tuesday with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, memo line - Silver Threads.
Jean was born November 30, 1929 in Garden City, MO, a daughter of Frank and Ann (Nafziger) Yoder. She was a 1947 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She was a life-long resident of Cass County.
Jean married Walter Joseph Durbin on September 3, 1949. Jean was trained in medical technology and had worked as an x-ray and lab technician at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Harrisonville from 1954-1967. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Silver Threads. She was known for her raisin pie. Jean was an avid bridge player.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe on April 5, 2010, a daughter, Charlotte, a brother, Maurice Yoder, and a sister, Frances Yoder. She is survived by three sons, David Durbin, Warsaw, MO, Mitch Durbin, Harrisonville, MO, and Chad Durbin, Fayetteville, AR; one sister, Barbara Blake, Joplin, MO; four grandchildren, Sarah, Ian, Bailey, and Austin, and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Avery, and Lily.
