Jean M. Chapman, 87, Adrian, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with visitation from 1:00-2:00. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian. Jean was born June 20, 1928, the daughter of James Hugh and Julia Mary (Barnard) Frazier in the Archie Community. On April 6, 1946 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Brown in Mound City, Kansas. To this union five daughters and one son were born and started their lives in Sioux City, Iowa. Kenneth Brown lost his life in a vehicle accident in August, 1965.

On August 22, 1975, Jean was united in marriage to Raymond Chapman in Adrian, Missouri and lived 37 years together, mostly in the Climax Springs and Camdenton, Missouri area. Raymond departed his life in June, 2014 in the Adrian Manor.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers Carl, Lee, Clell, Joe and Max Frazier, sister, Pearl (Frazier) Stewart, husbands, Kenneth Brown and Raymond Chapman, and one daughter, Pamela Russum. She is survived by four daughters Janice DeWolf and husband, Gary, Sioux City, Iowa, Diana White, Kenai, Alaska, Deborah Niebur and Jesus, Overland Park, Kansas, Susan Johnson and husband, Leithfield, Kentucky; one son, Michael Brown, Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers, Paul Frazier, Kansas City, Missouri and Wesley Frazier and wife, Thelma, Archie, Missouri; one sister, Mary Balentine and husband, Paul, Blue Springs, Missouri; sister-in-law, Ruth Frazier (Payne), Adrian, Missouri; a multitude of grandchildren, great-grand-children, and great-great-grandchildren, and seven step-children by Raymond Chapman.
