Janice Lea Harriman, 77, Harrisonville, MO, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 22 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Family Fellowship, 125 N. Armstrong, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080.

Janice was born February 2, 1940 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Clarence William and Lucille Ruby (Benefield) Hartzog. She was a 1958 graduate of Harrisonville High School and lived several years in St. Louis where she was employed with the VA Hospital. Janice was united in marriage to Darell Harriman on August 9, 1975.

Janice was a member of Grace Family Fellowship in Pleasant Hill, MO where she formed and led the Prayer Ministry team for many years. She was also a gifted Sunday school teacher and was loved by all. Janice had the spirit of mercy for anyone she met and always prayed for the needs of others. She loved most of all being with her family and her church family, traveling, and oil landscape painting. She will be missed by all who knew her as a wonderful, compassionate and caring person.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Darell; two daughters, Leslie McMillin and husband, Greg, and grandsons, Peyton and Devin, all of Blue Springs, MO, and Lauren Myler and husband, Michael, and granddaughters, Mallory and Mikayla, all of Harrisonville, MO; and one sister, Beverly (Hartzog) Alexander and husband, Kenny, and niece, Krystal, all of Pleasant Hill, MO.
