Sarah "Jane" Lemmer, 73, of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at her home. Memorial services were held  Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brady Cemetery.

Jane was born on April 15, 1950 in Harrisonville, MO, to Randall Alva and Helen Orla (Beel) Baker. Jane graduated from Sherwood High School with the class of 1967. She started her career as a typesetter and went on to work for the Cass County Democrat-Missourian newspaper for 31 years, and then on to the Tribune and Times newspaper until her passing.

Jane married Bobby Lemmer on August 11, 1967 in Garden City, MO. The couple had 2 children, Vonda Kay and Robert "Rob" Randall. Jane was best known for enjoying bird watching, gardening, fishing, and her cooking. She was a life-long Cass County resident living in Garden City before moving to their farm in Harrisonville.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers: Walter Baker, Charles Baker, and Terry Baker. Jane is survived by her husband, Bob Lemmer, of the home; her children: Vonda Kay (Jim) Savage of Knoxville, TN; and Rob (Marnee) Lemmer of Clever, MO; her sister, Joyce Stritch of Garden City, MO; 9 grandchildren: James Derek (Allison) Savage, Brandon (Maggie) Savage, Aaron (Makayla) Savage, Stephen Daniel Savage, Courtney (Austin) Nigh, Makiah Lemmer, Teagan (Libby) Lemmer, Tavis Lemmer, and Quintin Lemmer; and 11 great-grandchildren: Rosaleigh Mae Savage, Tristin James Savage, Aiden Russell Savage, Evelyn Belle Savage, Hunter Paige Savage, Fenley Rhys Savage, Lennon Harper Savage, Garrison Wayne Nigh, Vivian James Nigh, Adley Jane Lemmer, and Liam Dean Lemmer.
