James "Jim" William Proctor, 79, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri. A memorial service, and  masonic service, was held  Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  Inurnment in Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville, MO at a later date.

Jim was born September 19, 1943 in Odessa, Missouri, a son of Ora Bel "Red" and Virginia Lucile (Murry) Proctor. Jim moved to Harrisonville when he was 17 to drive trucks for his father, and worked part-time for Russell Hannah. He began working for the City of Harrisonville in the street department and retired, 37 years later, as the Street Superintendent. Jim was united in marriage to Delores Cooley on October 3, 1971 in Harrisonville. He was a member of the Grace Tabernacle in Harrisonville where he attended faithfully; was a member of Cass Masonic Lodge #147, Harrisonville, Grand River Lodge # 276 in Freeman, the Harrisonville Elks Lodge, and a loyal member of Tabb's Coffee Club. Jim was a dedicated car man and spent many hours working on his El Camino. He enjoyed collecting toy trucks and cars and working on jig saw puzzles. Jim's greatest joy and love in his life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Jane (Russell) Proctor. Jim is survived by his wife, Delores Proctor, Harrisonville, MO; three sons: Shannon Proctor (Fran) and Jimmy Mickelberry (Cindy), both of Harrisonville, MO; and Jeffrey Mickelberry (Larena), Garden City, MO; two daughters: DeLana Traugott (Joe), Lutz, FL; and Julie Lavery (Becca), Harrisonville, MO; step-brother, Gene Hawkins, Tarpon Springs, FL; sister, Sondra Maldin, Blairstown, MO; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
