James "Jamie" Murdock Parker, Sr., 36, Warrensburg, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Friends may call 11:00-12:00 Saturday at the chapel.
Jamie was born September 3, 1972 in Lexington, MO, the son of George W. and Victoria (Kamphefner) Parker, Sr. He had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Warrensburg. He married Helena Dawn Morgan on July 1, 2006.
Jamie was an over-the-road truck driver for Bob Snow Enterprises. He attended PCI in Belton, MO and had worked as a CNA. He had also worked as a small engine mechanic for Lee's Summit Lawn and Garden.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Helena Dawn, of the home; one son, James Murdock Parker, Jr., Independence, MO; two daughters, Jessica Parker, Independence, MO and Jacqueline Nevaeh-Rose Parker, Warrensburg, MO; his mother, Victoria Parker, Warrensburg, MO; two brothers, George W. Parker, Jr., Oak Grove, MO and Benjamin Parker, Warrensburg, MO; three sisters, Helen C. Gilchrist, Grain Valley, MO, Kathy Huff, Marshall, MO and Bessa Dawn Manning, Harrisonville, MO; one grandson, Kayden Robert Grishkat; two nieces, Kasey Parker and Taylor Hood and his biological father, Clinton Lee Campbell, Odessa, MO. He was preceded in death by his adoptive father, George W. Parker, Sr.
