James Lynn Elliott, 58, Merriam, Kansas, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Merriam. Graveside services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Missouri, officiated by Rev. Chris Snyder, First United Methodist Church, Adrian, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Living Opportunities, 11627 West 79th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214.

James was born January 21, 1954 in Adrian, Missouri, the son of Arthur Kay and Monia Fay (Lacy) Elliott. James had an accident at the age of 15, which left him disabled. He lived at Community Living Opportunities in Merriam, Kansas for most of his life.

James was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Kay and his step-father, Kenneth Hubbard. He is survived by his mother, Fay O'Riley of Adrian, Missouri; step-mother, Barbara Elliott of Drexel, Missouri; four brothers, Daniel Kay and wife, Joanne of Shawnee, Kansas, Benjamin Lee of Kansas City, Missouri, John Jay of Drexel, Missouri and Thomas Neil of Independence, Missouri; five step-brothers, Steven Hubbard and wife, Donna, Paul Hubbard and wife, Sherry, Clay Hubbard and wife, Tammy, David Hubbard, all of Adrian, Missouri and Dennis Hubbard and wife, Sandy of Butler, Missouri; one step-sister, Wilma Hubbard of Harrisonville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
